at NASA

My work at the Kennedy Space Center began as an OSTEM Software Engineering Intern with NASA. As an intern, I was assigned to the Gateways team on Spaceport Command and Control Systems (SCCS), responsible for the interface between NASA vehicles and the Launch Control Center.

 

My teammate and I were assigned a project that has been under work by previous interns. The project was about parsing vehicle data into a format that can be read into an existing program used for data validation and debugging. I rapidly learned the structure of the existing parsing code, created a unique data structure to carry the data, wrote detailed documentation about my contributions, and presented my work to other interns and the employees at NASA at the end of the internship.

Starting January 2026, I've been working as a full-time Launch Control Systems Common Services Sofware Engineer position with Amentum, a contractor company that works alongside NASA employees at the Kennedy Space Center. My current team is CMS, which provides the distribution of telemetry data and commanding between the Launch Control Center and end items (vehicle, capsule, ground equipment).
